Frequently asked questions.
Do you take commissions?
YES! We do take commissions on a case by case basis. Please message us to inquire about our availability. Both of us work on the projects and we both work full time jobs, so our commission spots are limited, but we would love to talk to you about your project and schedule you in!
How much do your commissions cost?
Commission costs can vary, please send us an email with as much detail as possible and we can get you a quote. Generally speaking, all Warhammer commissions fall under 4 categories - Tournament Ready, Tabletop, Tabletop+, and Display. DnD and any custom 3D printed requests are determined by the size and level of detail desired.
What is “Tournament Ready”?
Tournament Ready is our basic commission painting package. All models will meet the basic tournament regulations to enter into the tournament. Speed paints and washes are used in this level. The bases are painted or textured. This is great for those who just need painted models to enter tournaments quickly or for rank and file minis. The cost of this level is 1x the cost of the miniatures. (ex. Deathwatch Kill Team is $69 for the box so the commission is also $69).
What is “Tabletop”?
Tabletop is a step above our Tournament Ready commission package. At Tabletop, we start picking out more of the details. Speed Paints may still be used as appropriate, but washes are dropped at this level. We focus more on smooth blends, better shadows and highlights, and more interesting basing. Basing items such as grass tufts, rocks, and small 3D printed items are included. This level is good for those looking to have their minis stand out more on the battlefield. The cost of this level is 1.5x the cost of the miniatures. (ex. Deathwatch Kill Team is $69 for the box so the commission is $103.50).
What is “Tabletop+”?
Tabletop+ is a step above our Tabletop commission package. These minis stand out from across the room! Every detail is given the utmost care and consideration! Eye lenses, weapon holsters, grenade packs, faces- everything is picked out and given attention. We accept moderate conversions at this level and with a $25 printing fee, any 3D printed items will be used so long as we have the file or you purchase the desired file. Moderately custom bases are done at this level. This is great for those that want their minis to really stand out or for your Epic Hero units. No speed paints or washes are used unless specifically requested. The cost of this level is 2x the cost of the miniatures. (ex. Deathwatch Kill Team is $69 for the box so the commission is $138 plus 3D printing fees if requested).
What is “Display”?
Display is our highest commission tier. This is for those that want their minis to look the best in the entire tournament or those miniatures that you just want to put on your shelf or display cabinet. We do full conversions and customized or sculpted bases, NMM, OSL, epoxy resin, and 3D printing at this level. Every detail is given special care and looks special on its own. These would be my competition level painted pieces. The cost of this level is a MINIMUM of 3x the cost of the miniatures, depending on the size and number of models desired. (ex. Fulgrim - Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh is $175 for the box so the commission would be a minimum of $525).
What is the time frame on commissions?
The time frame varies widely between the different tiers, number of models requested, and your place in line. Please email us and we can let you know what we are looking at currently!
How do you pay for commissions?
We take payment for commissions through Venmo currently, we are working on getting things set up on the website. All commissions require half of the cost as a down payment then the rest before the models are shipped to you. You can buy the models yourself and ship them to us or send us the money for the models with your down payment and we will purchase the models for you.
What about shipping?
The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and it is paid with the final payment for the commission. We can ship through any shipping service requested and any shipping speed requested. We typically use USPS.com to estimate shipping costs for commissions and if the cost is less than the estimate, the excess is refunded to you.
