Miniature Painting Commission & 3D Printing

Terms & Conditions

Agreement

By commissioning Nerdess Miniatures ("Artist"), the client ("Buyer") agrees to the following Terms & Conditions. Payment of any invoice, quote, or deposit constitutes full acceptance of this agreement.

1. Commission Pricing

All commission prices are non-negotiable. Warhammer Commission Pricing is based on current retail prices listed on Warhammer.com or equivalent official manufacturer pricing at the time of quotation. For models no longer available or only sold in sets, the average price of similar models or sets will be substituted.  All 3D-printed commissions are quoted on a case-by-case basis.

2. Payment Structure

For orders under $200, full payment is required upfront to reserve your queue slot and cover initial material prep. For commissions over $200, a non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total commission cost is due at the time of commission agreement to secure a slot. The remaining balance is due in full prior to shipping. No completed commission will be shipped until final payment has been received.

3. Model & Material Purchases

If Nerdess Miniatures purchases models on behalf of the Buyer, the full retail cost of the models is due at the time of commission agreement. Any STL files, 3D printed items, specialty bases, bits, resin, or materials selected by the Buyer are the Buyer’s responsibility and are due immediately upon decision to use.

4. Shipping

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer, including shipping to Nerdess Miniatures (if applicable) and return shipping of completed work. Shipping costs will be quoted separately and must be paid prior to shipment. Nerdess Miniatures is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage once the package has been transferred to the

carrier.

5. Timeline & Work Schedule

Commission timelines are estimates and may vary based on project complexity, queue size, and material

availability. Work will not begin until all required deposits and material payments have been received.

6. Revisions & Artistic Discretion

The Buyer will be consulted on color schemes and general themes. Nerdess Miniatures retains full artistic

discretion in execution, techniques, and final presentation. Minor adjustments may be accommodated at the Artist’s discretion. Major changes requested after work has begun may incur additional fees.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun. If the Buyer cancels after materials have been purchased, the Buyer is responsible for the full cost of those materials. If Nerdess Miniatures must cancel prior to work beginning, payments beyond material costs will be refunded.

8. Ownership, Use, and Display Rights

Upon full payment, the Buyer retains ownership of the physical miniature(s) only. All artistic execution,

paintwork, and creative expression remain the intellectual property of Nerdess Miniatures. In accordance with Games Workshop event standards and similar hobby competition rules, miniatures painted by Nerdess Miniatures may not be entered into painting competitions, contests, judged hobby events, or award-based showcases, including but not limited to Games Workshop–run or affiliated events, whether submitted under the Buyer’s name or any other individual or entity. Commissioned miniatures are intended for personal use. The Buyer may sell or transfer ownership of the physical miniature(s); however, the Buyer may not represent themselves as the painter or creator of the paintwork, nor use the commissioned work for competitions, commercial promotion, or brand endorsement without prior written consent from Nerdess Miniatures. Content creators may photograph or feature commissioned miniatures in personal content, whether monetized or non-monetized, provided that clear credit is given to Nerdess Miniatures and the Buyer does not represent themselves as the painter or creator of the paintwork. Use of commissioned miniatures in paid advertisements, brand sponsorships, or promotional campaigns requires prior written approval. Nerdess Miniatures retains the unrestricted right to photograph, record, display, and publish completed commissions for portfolios, social media, websites, marketing, and promotional purposes. Any use outside the permissions expressly granted in this section constitutes a material breach of this agreement.
